Nygma, inspired by Two-Face, adopts a criminal persona, the Riddler, and allies with Two-Face. She gifts him a Malaysian dream warden, which it is believed helps keep away bad dreams. This internal struggle as to why Bruce feels compelled to continue as Batman even after the death of the Joker has been giving Bruce nightmares, for which he has been seeing Dr. Alluding to the events of Batman (1989 film), Bruce contends that the death of the man who killed your family won’t make the pain go away, it will only make it worse. Dick claims that Bruce does not understand what it is like to lose one’s family, but Bruce refutes him.
